"Families hold societies together, and intergenerational relationships extend this legacy over time. This year’s International Day of Families is an occasion to celebrate connections among all members of the constellation that makes up a family." - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

On May 15th International Day of Families will be celebrated around the world. Blindness often impacts more than just one individual, it can prevent a parent from finding employment and impede a child's ability to gain an education, potentially leading an entire family into poverty.
