Through the ORBIS Lens: International Women's Day

“Through the ORBIS Lens” is a collection of photos showcasing the issues surrounding global eye health. Each week ORBIS will share our best photographs highlighting our efforts to eliminate avoidable blindness around the world.

Happy International Women’s Day! Dr. Enkhmaa Purev from Mongolia is one of the 92,000 doctors that ORBIS has trained over the past 30 years.

Did you know women hold two-thirds of the global burden of blindness? By continuing to empower Dr. Purev and others like her through capacity building for eye care, we can continue to help change this.
